   CLOSING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE
Throughout COVID-19, a considerable focus for Aspire has been tackling the ‘digital deficit’ faced by many adults and young people, to reduce their isolation and to overcome an additional barrier to accessing vital support and information.
Since the start of the pandemic, Aspire has provided over 190
digital and connectivity devices
for beneficiaries, supported by funding from Oxfordshire Community Foundation, The National Lottery Community Fund, Crisis and the MK Community Foundation. This included installing wi-Fi in emergency accommodation and providing laptops & tablets for beneficiaries across the Thames Valley.
  “The laptop and wi-fi
Aspire provided helped me to
get my HGV licence reinstated, as
I was able to send DVLA documents using the laptop. Ahead of a transport assessment for an HGV job, it was helpful to be able to research this online. I am also looking into finding a new flat, and Aspire has provided me with a list of rental websites.”
