  STAYING HEALTHY AND SOCIAL
Access to active, social and wellbeing opportunities should
be available for everyone, and the past year has highlighted that this opportunity to connect has never been more important. We’re proud to bring forward a wide range of such opportunities for people in our communities to get involved in physical, social and wellbeing activities.
In addition to our own physical activity,
sports and fitness project ‘STRIVE’, we have partnered with like-minded organisations to provide accessible opportunities for over 100 young, older and under-represented people facing disadvantage, mental health difficulties, long-term health conditions, homelessness
and other obstacles to personal development. These include ‘Active Reach’ launched in Blackbird Leys with partners including Active
Oxfordshire and support from Sport England, ‘Fit Exchange’ with partners including Fit Union Limited, and our exciting new Social Prescribing project with Blenheim Palace.
“This has been great for my mental health, given me more confidence and I know it is okay not to be ‘okay’”
