Our Social Prescribing project provides a non-medical alternative to alleviate mental and physical health difficulties, combating mental distress, physical inactivity, social isolation and reliance on medication, through providing wellbeing and social opportunities rooted in nature and the outdoors - and in this case, in the beautiful grounds of the Blenheim Estate.
This six-week walking intervention project aims to integrate elements of physical activity with general support and alternative, non-medical ways to manage wellbeing,
supporting each project participant to stay active, build positive relationships, maintain recovery, connect with professional support and explore opportunities to return to education, training, volunteering or employment.
“It’s improved my mental health over the past six weeks - I feel part of something!”
